Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park is a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary in Sri Lanka?s North Central Province, globally celebrated for hosting "The Gathering," the largest seasonal congregation of wild Asian elephants in the world. Centered around the massive, ancient Minneriya Tank reservoir, the park's dry-zone forests and open grasslands provide a critical habitat for hundreds of elephants that gather every dry season.
